Reelfoot Youth Camp exists with the purpose of equipping young men and women with the Bible knowledge they need to live lives acceptable to God, encourage them to withstand the corrupt influences that surround them, and to have fun in a safe and uniquely Christian environment.  We spend at least four hours everyday in Bible classes, chapels, devotionals, etc. in hopes of spending a week with our minds primarily focused on growing closer to God.

For those who have never experienced a week at church camp this is how I try to explain it to folks – it’s the slowest and fastest, most frustrating and most fulfilling, and energy sapping but fun week you could ever experience. There are ups and downs, pains and pleasures, successes and failures, but it is a week unlike any other.  I love church camp and there’s a special place in my heart for the first week in June at Reelfoot Youth Camp.

For the better part of ten years I worked as a counselor during Bishop St. Church of Christ’s week at Reelfoot.  Since 2012 I’ve been privileged to direct that week of camp and it has been a blessing beyond measure.  Upwards of 80 kids and 20 staff have made this week better and better with every passing year.  Friendships are formed over the week, that strengthen year to year, and can potentially last an eternity.  A week at Reelfoot Youth Camp is the single best week you could possibly experience in the course of your year.  If you are between the ages of 8-18 or know someone who is, send them our way.  You can keep up with the latest information leading up to our next camp session at our Facebook page – Reelfoot Youth Camp.
